We are UK based Timber Agents specialising in Tropical Hardwood and Softwood Timber supplied to an extensive range of industries worldwide.
Our substantial investments in sawmills and affiliation with timber suppliers’ cooperatives in the African continent, together with our focus on supplying our customers' needs, ensures that we are able to provide superior service at reasonable price.
We supply mainly bulk orders, which can be mixed thickness, direct from source and often at short notice. In addition, we have storage facilities in the UK to hold stocks to top-up our regular customers who may not be able wait for the next delivery from the African Continent, or for those smaller customers not requiring or able to take in full container loads.
The Wood that we trade with from West Africa supports villages’ communities and the balance of the eco system. There is a controlled re-planting scheme that maintains the balance of the environment. We work towards protecting the forests as well as helping the communities that live in and around them.
We specialise in West African Hardwoods, which we can supply at a very competitive price. We welcome any enquiries for wood that you are looking for, if it is not in our supply range we can sometimes connect you to the right supplier, we have been working in wood importation for a length of time that generates a large and resourceful network.

Information on Wenge
WENGE is the “Rolls Royce” of dark woods for interiors. It is renown for its stunning distinctive figure, strong partridge pattern and amazing rich dark brown colour, which instantly radiate the feeling of warmth and substance. Wenge's aesthetical appeal makes it a contemporary choice, popular with many designers looking for a contrast between light walls and a dark floor. Its superior durability makes it suitable for top end flooring and panelling in areas of high traffic both in commercial and domestic environments.
Spec
Colour / Appearance: Wenge wood is a very dark brown with black streaks. But unlike most other woods, Wenge is reported to become lighter when exposed to light.
Grain/Pore: Has a straight grain and a coarse texture.
Durability: Very durable, and resistant to termite attack.
Workability: Can be difficult to work with hand and power tools. Blunts tool edges.
Price Range: Tends to be on the high side as other exotic tropical hardwoods such as Cocobolo or Zebrano.
